Research Paper
One thing that I learned about doing my research paper is about how much poverty can effect a childs mental health. This was very saddning to me becasue at a young age you are dependent on your parents and so if they can not provide for you then it is going to be very hard to get out of your circumstances. I was also heart broken for these kids because they are not given opportunites to have success and be free and enjoy life like many other kids.Another thing that i learned was that poverty in other countries directly affects us through terrisom. This fact was very scary to me becuase many peoople in a America do not think about this. The people of america tend to only think about themselves and not other people in the other countries who need help. Without some of our help they may turn to terriorsim and that will back fire on us as a country.

Edgar Allan Poe
....As he escaped the pendulum the was began tocreak like a old rusty door was closing. They began to move slow then fast slow then fast making it hard to predict where to go next. Turning in circles trying to figure out what do do next he saw the curtian open with a man standing behind the window. He mouthed to him, "just hold on for a little bit longer!" The walls where now moving at a slow pace towards the middle of the pit. The man only had about 1 foot left of space as the man from behind the window came rushing in to save him. just as soon as this happened the walls closed in tight and they both fell into the pit....
Crucible Reflection
At first when I started reading the Crucible I was really bored and did not want to finish reading at all. I was bored becasue during the first and second acts they mainly talked about how they thought Abbigail was the one who did it and she did not agree with them. Then Abbigail really started to annoy me because of the way she was acting. I didnt like the fact that she was putting everyone else's life at risk by blaming all the other people. I did not think that was right of her to do. When i found out that Betty was faking to be sick on purpose it thought that was a good idea on her part but found it shocking she would think to do that since she was so young. I felt bad for all the women who got put to death and they had nothing to do with what was happening but Abbigail was able to live.

Charlie Chaplin
Charlie Chaplin was one of the greatest and widely loved silent movie stars. He made one of the most popular and funniest flim of his time. He was best known for his character, the naive and lovable Little Tramp. Chapin came to America on two trips. On his second tour, he met Mack Sennett and was signed to Keystone Studios to act in films. Chaplin was known as one of the most demanding men in Hollywood. Regardless of the size of the part, he walked everyone through everyscene. He thought that even if the scene was good it was not just because of the star, but about everyone on the screen. If someone wasn't working the way they where suppose to he would have a new person play the part. He wanted everyone on stage to work together to make the best film possible. Through what Chaplin had achieved many of his works are still showed in films today.
I think that Chalie Chaplin had the right idea about what he was doing on stage was the right way to go about things. It wasn't always about the star but about everyone on the stage so that everyone contributes to the success of the film. I think he was doing the right thing becasue he treated everyone fairly. If someone wasn't doing their job the way they where suppose to they would be told and could get replaced. Everyone was held to the same standard. Chaplin used everyday life and fairness and brought it to the films and created success out of them.

Puritain Poetry
http://www.puritansermons.com/poetry/anne06.htm
This poem was by Anne Bradstreet. I thought this was a really good poem because it showed what she thought of God and how he was her savior. She put all her trust in him and gave him all the glory for everything. The religious lesson in this poem is that God is not like anyother person. Poem also states that he will never go back on his word and be there in any difficulty we face. We need to give the credit to go for everything we acomplish and give the glory to him because without him we would not be able to succeed.

Squanto
When the Pilgrims arrived in America, they did not know what was in store for them and had faced many hardships. If we look back at that time we may think to ourselves how did they get through those hard ships and how did they establish the colony. One of the answers to that would be Squanto. Squanto was kidnapped by the native Americans and he had dealt with American traders before so he was sent to discover what these Americans where like. Squanto was able to help the Pilgrims in many ways. He knew the land very well so he was able to help the Pilgrims with knowing the land. He also taught them how to plant crops and catch fish and build warm houses. With Squanto's help the Pilgrims were able to continue living and build a colony.

The 1st Thanksgiving
On Thanksgiving day we all think of it was a day of just eating turkey and mashed potatoes. For the pilgrims there feast was meant for religious reasons not just to eat a lot of food that day. On the day of the pilgrims feast the indian and English all went out and gathered food. The pilgrims' brought all there people and the indians brought 90 of there men. The meal that night consisted of deer, corn, shellfish, and roasted meat. While at the feast people played ball games, danced, and sang songs. The indians showed there skills with bows and arrows and the pilgrims showed there skills with their muskets. This celebration lasted for three days.

Native American Blog
For my blog I am going to write about Cherokee indians. The reason I am going to write about this is because I have Cherokee in me. The Cherokee tribe is is detached from the Iroquoain family. Many think that originally the Cherokee indians were form the north but later found in the southern regions. One aspect of the Cherokee culture is there language that has three dialects. One which is Elati where it was spoken in South Carolina and Georgia. A second dialect is Middle which was spoken by the waters of Tuckasegee River and in western North Carolina. The third dialect is called A'tuli which was spoken in upper Georgia and eastern Tennessee. Most cherokee people speak english but 20,000 people still speak the cherokee language. The housing of the Cherokee people was nothing special. They lived in houses that normally were only big enough for one family. Some of the weapons that the Cherokee indians used were many different types of axes, daggers, and bow and arrows. The man of the tribes were in charge of hunting and war. The women were in charge of farming, property, and family.
