The 1st Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving day we all think of it was a day of just eating turkey and mashed potatoes. For the pilgrims there feast was meant for religious reasons not just to eat a lot of food that day. On the day of the pilgrims feast the indian and English all went out and gathered food.  The pilgrims' brought all there people and the indians brought 90 of there men. The meal that night consisted of deer, corn, shellfish, and roasted meat. While at the feast people played ball games, danced, and sang songs. The indians showed there skills with bows and arrows and the pilgrims showed there skills with their muskets. This celebration lasted for three days.

  1. This is a very interesting post and reflection about the origin of a holiday most Americans know little about.
